The Home Builders Association understands the importance of supporting our local charitable causes through donations and public awareness. We encourage everyone to explore the charitable opportunities below, along with any other worthy cause that may benefit our communities.

  • FOOD BANK - Ever wonder what you could do in one day with just one dollar? The answer is, “a lot,” if you look at the success of last year’s Hunger Awareness Day, when the community gave more than $125,000 to the San Luis Obispo County Food Bank Coalition. A simple click to www.slofoodbank.org or phone call will get the job done. The Food Bank Coalition uses the money to acquire food and distribute it to 156 nonprofit groups to feed thousands of hungry people and support its own BackPack Program, Senior Brown Bag Program, and Harvest Bag Program – all to help low-income people of all ages have healthy food on their table. More than 30,000 local residents benefit annually from Food Bank efforts.
